Photographer Kim Jang-wook majored in documentary photography at France Icart-Photo. After graduating, he worked as a foreign correspondent for France Gamma Presse Images, and his photos were published in various domestic and international newspapers and magazines, including Time, Newsweek, and Le Monde. While working as a foreign correspondent in Indonesia for two years, he lived with sulfur workers in Kawah-Ijen and guerrillas in East Timor, and worked on photography. He also worked on posters and on-site photos for about 20 feature-length commercial films. He currently lives with his family in a small town in the United States, and captures the people and landscapes around him. Through them, he continues to work on loneliness, solitude, and life.
