Ivana Urso

Ivana Urso is a visual artist from San Cataldo, in the province of Caltanissetta, Italy. Her artistic journey has evolved through a continuous exploration of natural materials and mixed media techniques, resulting in a deeply personal and tactile visual language. Over time, she has developed a unique style where matter becomes a tool for introspection and transformation.

She is part of the Pentastrattismo art movement, which merges abstraction and spirituality to create artworks that transcend the visible and delve into symbolic, emotional, and inner dimensions. In her creations, Urso combines handmade paper, pigments, sand, metals, and glass into layered, vibrant compositions that evoke silence, sacredness, and inner resonance.

Her works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy and abroad, and are included in private collections internationally. Her artistic practice is closely tied to inner growth and the universal experience of transformation.
