Rebecca Pretorius

Rebecca is based on the Spanish Island of Palma Mallorca, where the light and warmth of the island directly influences her work. Inspired by emotive work using light to emphasise a feeling.

Her roots are South African where nature and the nostalgia of the African landscape plays a huge role in her work.She has been commissioned to paint portraits for yacht owners and has collectors across the globe.

Originally self taught she has taken workshops in the academic method at the Florence academy of art in Italy, training in the classical style of 19th century painters.
