Mariana Molinari

I was born in Buenos Aires in 1984. My interests lie in the fusion of the architecture of cultures different to mine, and distant in time, with the surrounding landscape, in order to create a new visual metaphor. For this I rely on images that I collect as historical documentation through virtuality, that is, from digital devices, videos, photographs and historical texts. Basically, the architecture is the main subject in my work.

I have a degree in Visual Arts with an orientation in painting from the Universidad Nacional del Art (UNA). I work at Hall of Frame - Frame Boutique, making professional framing. I also studied museology at the National School of Museology (2011-2015), which allowed me to work in different museums, such as the Bicentennial Museum, the Cárcova Museum (UNA), and the Cabildo Museum, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I attended the painting workshop of the argentinian artist Adriana Ablin (2011-2017).

I exhibited collectively in Apice Arte (2012) and in the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange in 2015, and in the Summer Hall of Impulso Agrupación de Arte y Letras in the La Boca neighborhood in 2018. On March 2019 I participated in a group exhibition at the Marcó del Pont Cultural Space, in Buenos Aires City, within the framework of the month of women. Individual exhibition of my work at the Museum of Fine Arts in Luján (province of Buenos Aires) in June 2019.
