I don't know precisely when it started, but I've considered myself an artist for as long as I can remember. As a child, I recall spending afternoons with my grandmother, sketching faces and whatever random superhero or Ninja Turtle was in my mind at the time.

My grandmother being the only person in my life at the time that could 'wow' me with her art. She would freehand these incredible profiles of anyone in front of her or often from memory. As I grew through schooling, I always had art on the schedule and I almost always had a sketchbook with me. I didn't seriously get into painting until my early teens, but I've had a love affair with paint ever since. I always made it a point to find time to create something each year. And I would use my abilities to give friends and family members gifts when I couldn't think of a material item to buy them. There was something powerful in creating rather than just selecting off a shelf and being able to share it with someone.

I love the idea of offering my skills to commissions and helping people find joy in the craft and capturing a little bit of magic on a canvas for them to share with their friends and family. I'm currently working on building a personal portfolio and I want to share th...
