Mary Desmond

Mary Desmond was born in Liverpool, England to Irish parents.

After studying Architecture at Liverpool University she worked in several practises in London and Valencia before gaining a Masters in Building Design for Developing Countries at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, London. In 1991 she transferred to Madrid where she began to study painting.

She lived in Spain until 2005 when she moved to Rome. After completing a Masters in painting at Rome University of Fine Art and attending several courses at the Slade, UCL, London she took a place in a studio with three other Italian artists.

She has exhibited in Rome, Montecarlo and Alicante. She currently works and lives between Rome and Spain.
