Stefano Calanchi

Born in Bologna, Italy, in 1952. His interest in photography began in the 70s when he started taking B/W pictures, which he developed himself, thus acquiring a vast experience of the darkroom. Though being particularly fascinated by black and white narrative street photography, he also produced abstract and coloured images. He has published his work on cultural magazines and some of his photos have been selected as poster images for cultural events. After a period in which he devoted himself to other artistic projects, he returned to photography when he discovered the possibilities of digital and audiovisual language.
