Lione Grigaliunaite

I am a professional painter from Lithuania. The majority of my paintings are abstract. They are inspired by travelling and new impressions. I'd like to express myself through the prism of the mood, rhythm and new thoughts in a new place. I see a cycle of canvases - expressive, dynamic paintings which interchange with calm and pastel paintings. My paintings are abstract and symbolic to some extent. They are born out of my feelings affected by an impression and thus are interesting and unexpected. I'm very interested in this residency as 3 months is quite a long time. The continent of America itself is associated with something unseen and unexperienced. The rhythms of our activities, movement and work are different, not to speak about a variety of
people. I'm eager to get new experience, fresh impressions and views. It is very interesting to learn how your country would influence my creation.
