Dmitriy Godlevski is a Ukrainian-born, US-based photo artist whose works have been featured in several exhibitions across the globe.
His early exploratory works in both digital and analog black and white photography were displayed in multiple group shows and culminated in his personal exhibition "Freedom of a Canary" in 2009. The exhibition delved into the concept of freedom and the role of external circumstances in achieving it, specifically focusing on the crucial role of barriers in perceiving, understanding, and pursuing freedom.
After moving to New York at the age of 18, Dmitriy continued his passionate inquiries into creative portraits, participating in the Pool Art Fair in Miami in 2012 with his mixed technique black and white photo series, "State of Energy." This project aimed to dissect the emotional expression of the body through the prism of twisting and layering the captured light in a controlled studio environment. Some of the series' pieces were later featured at selected venues in New York.
