Kari Friestad

Hi everyone! I'm a painter in South Bend, Indiana. I am inspired by the history and practice of oil painting, landscape and nature, and the sky. These paintings are deeply meditative to me in practice. Clouds are formless and yet formed, wispy and yet solid, providing a brief interlude from the chaos of the world outside the studio. I am interested in the tension between image and material.
