Patrice Roland

I've lived and worked in Paris for almost 15 years. Originally from Brittany, it was through the composition of music that I began as a songwriter and performer. A little later, the visual arts will follow, with an editing work for video clips, reusing old images.

Anatole France said “In art as in love, instinct is enough. »Like a credo, I do not like to learn or to train but rather to experiment by the practice and decide to immerse myself in the painting, tests several techniques and medium and I develop over the years my own esthetics. I draw my inspiration from drawing, from moments captured during travels or my daily life. First attracted by geometric shapes and colors, I later wanted my paintings to translate a contemporary reality and testify to a moment of life, a friendship, a family lunch, an awakening morning ... Other abstract paintings represent raw emotions and are more subject to interpretation.
