I’m an impressionist nature photographer living on Bainbridge Island in Washington State. I spent over 15 years working in crisis preparedness and response. Photography and other creative practices became an outlet for self-care and finding a sense of calm outside work days often filled with trauma, grief, and loss. In 2008 while living in New York City, I began showing my photography in small galleries and group shows. In 2019, I suffered a head injury and was away from my camera for about a year. Coming back to creativity—now surrounded by water and living a yogic lifestyle—my photography style has evolved. I find solace and inspiration at the water’s edge and in the liminal spaces: those in-between moments where the world softens and something unseen begins to stir. My work captures the magical essence of light, water and landscape during sunrise and sunset—when the veil thins and beauty feels most alive and new. These special moments, full of potential and quiet mystery, bring me to a place of deep devotion and joy. Each visit to the shoreline begins with ritual—honoring nature, color and the unseen. I greet the morning with ceremony, song and offerings to the earth. That reverence infuses every photograph. The images are not only shaped by my awe of the outer landscape, but by the inner landscape of intentional stillness and devotion. My photographs don't just hang on your wall, they hold space.
