Ytaelena Lopez

Yta is a Venezuelan artist who has been doing art since 1998. Her first projects were with GrupoGrama, a multimedia art collective in Caracas that promotes new artistic talent and cultural events in alternative public spaces. Now she works in San Francisco, CA.

Yta is an artist that combine poetry, painting and performance in a work focuses toward tolerance and self acceptation. She show their own worries -identity, violence y femeinity- though their own person. She pretent to write a ficcion in images where there is no clear the border between public and private isues, between she and you.

The next Airport Muse Gallery exhibition is a group show that features leading northern California figure artists with a special portion of the show devoted to emerging artists and promising art students.

The exhibit takes place at the Airport Muse Gallery at the Petaluma Municipal Airport.

Among the artists already selected to show work at the exhibit are painter Diana Belenky, pastel figure artist Susan Gefvert, painter and mixed media artist Ytaelena Lopez and Petaluma based fine artist Ruby Newman.
