Elena Soliman

Elena Soliman is a contemporary artist whose work bridges Ancient Egypt and the present day. Born in Russia and based in Sharm El Sheikh for the past 25 years, she lives and works inside the landscape that inspires her art.

Elena explores the “living memory” and “ancient genetic code” of Ancient Egypt — how this civilisation still appears in modern faces, gestures, landscapes and symbols.

Carefully studying reliefs, tombs, statues and historical sources, she translates them into a contemporary visual language, avoiding clichés and esoterica. Her paintings combine classical attention to structure with a modern, expressive touch, offering a quiet, intellectual and emotional dialogue with Ancient Egypt.

Elena has exhibited in Cairo and internationally (including Finland, Italy, the United Kingdom and Tunisia). Her works are held in private collections in Egypt and abroad, chosen by collectors and Egypt-lovers who seek art with depth, cultural resonance and a timeless presence.

Designed as meaningful objects rather than simple décor, Elena’s paintings bring a calm, contemplative echo of Ancient Egypt into contemporary spaces, forming a personal bridge between the viewer’s life and one of the world’s oldest civilisations.
