Yeeun Moon

Yeeun Moon (1993, South Korea) I want to cast aside the existence of being human and pour out everything within me. Just as darkness arrives when the sun sets and the lights go out, all I desire is to feel at ease and warm.

I do not know much about death, but my thoughts on it are undoubtedly filled with fear and dread. That is why I want to live, to be healthy, to become beautiful, and to feel happiness. This is the hope I wish to hold on to until my final moment.

Through my art, I express my thoughts on life, my emotions, and everything I feel—everything that rises within me and longs to be expressed. My work often takes the form of flowers, leeches, stems, and snails. Not everyone may appreciate my art, but I hope that the emotions and sentiments within it can reach many people.

As I reflect on beauty, I dream of a world where black waves and blood-stained clouds, deep artistry, and emotions conveyed through paintings can bring people together in understanding. I sincerely hope for a world where the endless creation of beauty through art becomes a reality.
