Sofia Malone

Growing up all my summers was spent
on a small rocky islet. From June to late August we would relocate to a remote island in the Baltic sea shaped by the glacial rebound some 20 000 years ago. This lay the foundation for a deep connection to nature.
My artwork is informed by the wilderness and also by the marks we leave in the same. I am working in the space between perception and expression and the materiality of painting itself.

I live and work in Stockholm, Täby I have a B.A. in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland.
