Ilaria Ruggeri

I'm an Italian visual artist with an intuitive approach.
In my atelier in Milan I create mixed media art, mostly using painting and collage. I love vibrant colors, inspired by abstract and neo expressionism. I think that every art work is the result of a story, a process made of exploration, trust and inner research. That’s why I like adding layers and textures and using little scraps of paper collected in everyday life. I pay attention to random details in order to reveal their poetic meaning.
In my art I infuse all my lively, multipotential and sensitive soul, my passion for female issues and my spiritual path.

I had a solid creative education as Istudied design in Rome and in Germany, got the MA and specialized in illustration being trained by the most brilliant Italian and international illustrators. Moreover I also holds the BA in psychology and cultivates a deep interest in archetypes, shamanism and spirituality.

In the last years I worked for editorial illustration with projects for poetry and children books. I created artist books and developed a duo artistic project about magical feminine for PARATISSIMA exhibition in Turin.
I designed and create a deck of inspirational colorful cards called ANIMA LIBERA using the intuitive painting, and I loves to make Soul portraits on commission.
