Born in 1955.
Studied at the Ural School of Applied Arts (1976-1980).
Trained at the "Cite des Arts" in Paris (1999 and 2000).
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1991.
Participant of regional, interregional, international art exhibitions since 1981.
Solo exhibitions: Beijing (China) in 1999, Munster (Germany) in 2000, Berlin (2005), Vancouver ( Canada) in 2002.
The artist's works are in the museums of Moscow, Paris, Berlin, as well as in private collections in Europe and Russia.
In the art of Valery Popov lives the charm of his personality, his sincerity, spiritual generosity, love for beauty and the ability to find it everywhere
The artist should not stand in one place, but give himself the opportunity to experiment, seek and learn all his life
