Dilek Ozalp

She was born in 1982 in Adana and graduated in 2014 from the Painting Education Program at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mustafa Kemal University. She currently works as a visual arts teacher under the Ministry of Education. She has held seven solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions across the country. Additionally, she has taken part in art fairs both nationally and internationally. Her work has also been featured on book and magazine covers.

Her artistic focus centers on the human figure. She constructs her compositions around the interactions between people, other living beings, society, the world, and her own internal processes—in short, everything they engage with. In addition to symbolic concepts, her figures are sometimes united by lines, sometimes by colors. Her paintings are often ironic and sarcastic. With the power of line and minimal use of color, she emphasizes both subject and figure.
