Shahrokh is a Birtish , Vancouver Canada based Artis who works with Painting ,Drawing, Printmaking and Sculpture.
An important element in my work is the challenge of the unknown within myself and my art work. I develop my painting through going deeper into this unknown by pushing against the tensions that exist, for me, in the visual relationship of the elements of colour , shapes, and texture. As well as looking in greater depth at the experiences, memories of places, emotions and sensations that I find meaningful as a source for my work.

Painting challenges me to authentically express my changing reality from within the creative tension between free-spontaneous expression and the demands of the painting and print media. My work as it contains strong subject matters that evoke peoples feelings .The paintings excite and inspire viewers with a richness of colour and composition.

Shahrokh studied drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture and film making ,in 1990 at the Camden Institute, and from 1991 to 1992 at Westminster University, London .He completed his First Class B.A. (Hons) degree in Fine Art from Hertfordshire University , England in 1996 receiving the University Award and prize for the student with the highest achievement.

As well as his love of painting Shahrokh has always been interested in psychotherapy and counseling. He received his Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy and Counseling from Regents College, London in 1999. He works part-time as an existential psychotherapist and counselling as well .
He has traveled extensively in the Middle East, Europe and North America.
His work is part of several private collections in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
