Dominic Doble

I am an abstract artist from Carlisle in the UK.I am self-taught and began drawing and painting for the first time since school in 2018.
I am influenced by the abstract expressionists and my work is largely intuitive.Although many of my most recent works have been created in pen and ink using a palette of black and white although previous works have used a much more extensive colour palettes and utilised mixed media techniques. In my current works I am exploring the use of colour and texture.
I am very proud to have had work exhibited in Venice at the Palazzo Bembo as part of the Proseed Collective Collaboration during the Venice Biennale 2024. I have also exhibited work locally in and around Carlisle as well as in Edinburgh,Aberdeen and Manchester.
