Thierry Lauwers

Born in Bruges, Belgium on december 20 1952.As the son and grandson of stonecarvers.
After high school went first to French Foreign Legion and after this trip, the Belgian Para-Commando Troops.End of contract in 1979.
Since 1989 artist. Paintings, carvings, metal-art,performance, installations.

As an artist I can not say there are any kind of infuences in my work.It all start with a drawing, one idea and there we go.I do not think for style orso. It come from deep down somewhere inside if me. So I can not say if I am inspired by any artist in what I do, and if so I don't know it.
