Graduated in Arts at Faculdade de Belas Artes, São Paulo, SP Brazil. From 1972 to 1983 worked for several advertising agencies: Norton, Sell, Lintas Group, Almap, Genus Zero, Formula, BTP, among others. In 1984 was responsible for Promotion and Advertising of magazines for the biggest publishing company in Latin America, Editora Abril. Was responsible for the art conception and design of one of the most successful brazilian music magazine: Bizz Mag. In this period covered as a photographer music shows and portrait of many famous musicians. His work for Boa Forma Mag, fitness and health won the prize “Premio Abril de Jornalismo”, for the Best Graphic Art Design of the year. In 92, as a photographer traveled to Índia and Nepal to produce touristic destinations image for the newly created magazine Terra, a mag about nature, adventure and ecologism in which he conceived its graphic design. During his career he was the director for more than 20 titles, art creating new mags or redesigning old ones. In 98 was promoted to work with the board to be the responsible for creating and developing special projects of the Group. Later, became an art consultant for the most products published by Editora Abril, and in his hands, more than a million copies were printed weekly. In 2004 he moved to Ilhabela and since then has been dedicated to photography copyright. For two years he lived among the native population of the isolated communities of the island archipelago documenting their culture, and at the invitation of the House of Culture held the exhibition “Almar, a portrait of isolation” with the support of the Department of Culture, Municipality of Ilhabela and presentation of National Geographic Brazil.
