I was born in New York City.
Between the ages of three and eight years old, I lived with my family in what is now called Soho. At that time it was known as Little Italy, between Broadway and Spring Streets. My first gallery show was in 1981 in Soho, across the street from where I used to live.
I was employed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Exhibition Design Department.
I work in the styles of abstract, collage and wall sculpture. I sometimes incorporate found, uncut, Styrofoam packaging material.
I have exhibited in various galleries in New York , Connecticut , Texas, Maryland and Florida.
I have been influenced by artists who used and incorporated discarded, man-made and machine-made materials, as cultural signifiers, in their work, such as Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Beuys, and Louise Nevelson.
It is in this tradition, and with the added consciousness of the impact of Styrofoam packaging material on our environment that I have chosen to work in this medium.
Rhodes Prep, New York University, Art Students League.
I have exhibited and sold in various galleries in New York State,
St.Michaels, Maryland, Austin, Texas, Old Lyme, Connecticut , and Gainesville, Florida.
