Mariana San Martin

Interested in the role of interference in the forming of human subjectivity, I often deconstruct the human figure allowing different materials and techniques to interfere with and change my portraits. My practice is based off of the idea that our subjectivity develops from the never-ending exchange between inner and outer worlds and that, because of this, every instant lived adds a new layer to the whole that is an individual.
