Carla Cerchiara (b. 1985, Buenos Aires, Argentina) explores Geometric Abstraction as a counterpoint to chaos. Driven by a vital need to organize space, she employs a surgical masking technique and acrylics on canvas to build compositions where color and form interact without interference.
Her practice centers on "invisible gesturality": erasing the hand’s trace to reveal the mind. Her deceptively impersonal surfaces are, in fact, the sum of hundreds of disciplined, imperceptible gestures striving for precision.
Deeply connected to the rich legacy of Argentine geometry —and inspired by masters such as Eduardo Mac Entyre and Julio Le Parc— her works function as "refuges": spaces of balance and contemplation sustained by a visceral resistance against the unpredictable.
