Guillermo Magaña Quesada

Born in Mexico City, Guillermo has always shown great passion for photography. The artist's intention is to convey, through his photographs, the peacefulness and simplicity that surround us .... trying to express more.... with less and thus, allowing us to admire the majesty in our world.

Therefore, in 2007 he decided to increase and formalize his knowledge in this wonderful art and started his formal photography studies in one of Mexico´s most recognized photography schools, La Escuela Activa de Fotografia.



on February 2014 Guillermo starts exhibiting and selling his works of art at the Jardin del Arte in Mexico City where many renown artists have a place to present their works.

Guillermo has been a Photography Professor in the Escuela Activa de Fotografia and works in his personal projects as well as a Freelance Photographer.

Guillermo has broaden his knowledge in the art of Photography taking different Specialization courses such as:
- Photographic Project Development with Giovanna Checchi
- The art of Color Photography in La Facultad de Estudios Superiores de Acatlán in the State of Mexico
- Diplomat in Contemporary Photography with Gerardo Montiel Klint at the renowned Pedro Meyer Foundation.
- History of Art at La Facultad de Estudios Superiores de Acatlán in the State of Mexico
- Documentary Photography with Melba Arellano

Guillermo´s work has participated successfully in several photo-contests and his art has been exhibited in different galleries and museums:

2008 "Implicaciones" Collective photography exhibit with his piece "Il Mastino" at the Centro Cultural Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz in Tlalnepantla

2009 Individual photo exhibition called "Dogs, Dogs, Dogs" at the Art Gallery of Cafe 16 in Mexico City

2010 His project "Auto-reflejos" ( "Auto-reflexions") was presented at the art gallery of Cafe 16

2010 Participated with 6 photographic pieces of art in the collective photo-exhibit "Percepciones" at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán in the State of Mexico

2011 His Personal Project "Auto-reflejos" is presented at the museo de arte tridimensional. azcapotzalco. mex. d.f.

2012 "Planeta Vivo" with 3 pieces of art.
