Éri Jenő

I'm a painter and graphic designer. I was born in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary in 1958. I studied Graphic Design at the Academy of Applied Arts, Budapest (1976-81). I was first celebrated for my poster design for which I received the Professional Award of Excellence in 1989. However, the early 1990s marked a significant shift in my practice, as I turned away from poster design to devote my career first to typography and from the late 1990s to painting. I live and work in Budapest.
