Ervin Esquivel

My name is Erwin Esquivel, a Columbian painter living and working in Paris for the past 15 years. Prior to moving to Paris I lived in Columbia and have had several exhibitions in Bogota, Washington and Miami.

Erwin Esquivel was born in Cérété, a small village on the Caribbean coast of Columbia. At the age of 7, thanks to winning a painting competition, he discovered his passion for painting and became self-taught. At 18 Erwin settled in Bogota to study and later received his diploma in Publicity from the University of Bogota. Not forgetting his passion for painting, he continued to perfect his technique. Erwin's principle subject for several years was the female nude. He has had exhibits in Bogota, Washington, Miami, Paris and Madrid. Today his main body of work explores the world of color, seeking a harmonic dialogue between drawing, line, color and light.
