My name is Evgeniya, I am watercolor artist and illustrator. I was born in the Far East of Russia.
The house in which I grew up was on the ocean shore and from childhood I heard the cries of seagulls, the sound of waves and felt the salty air. My family and I often went on a boat to the open sea, so love for the sea settled in my soul forever and it became frequent plot of my paintings.
In 2008, my husband and I left Vladivostok, we traveled for 10 years without staying long in one place. At that time, I worked as an illustrator and painted in watercolors, selling my works. I have lived in different countries, traveled all over Russia by train along the Trans-Siberian Railway, lived in different cities, both in the north and in the south of the country, and have been in Moscow since 2018.
Life in the north, polar nights and harsh climate inspired me to a series of works with the northern lights. Traveling along the Trans-Siberian Railway was reflected in my landscapes dedicated to village life and Russian nature. The pandemic and lockdown found me in Moscow. I graduated from art school in Vladivostok and received a master's degree in cultural studies and art from the Far Eastern Federal University.
