Felipe Colina was born in 1991. Currently residing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
After graduating from Williams College in 2012, Felipe worked in the tech industry in the Bay Area for two years before deciding to pursue a path in the arts.
Living in the Sunset district, Felipe taught himself how to draw and paint guided chiefly by the Letters of Van Gogh. He embraced his own path of artistic learning modeled after traditional art training: focus on the masters and learn from nature. During his time in San Francisco, he would routinely draw at Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach.
His pieces combine elegance and rawness, featuring balanced compositions and bold expressive brushstrokes.
