I feel that the art crosses my soul.
I consider myself a dynamic, curious artist with strong social criteria. For me art is more than an expression, it is the way I found to communicate with the world.
Being a woman, lesbian, Latin American and an artist, I really feel responsible for communicating what is happening in this era through my unique perspective. I often wonder how I can represent the events of this time through the art.
I can say that my brush speaks mostly about my personal experiences, focusing on topics such as: questions about identity, feminism, gender diversities, protests and social mobilizations, racism, xenophobia, politics, faith, etc.
As a Chilean expat living in Argentina, and in a relationship with an Afro Brazilian woman, my art work also reflects the South American cultural and racial mix in which I live constantly, representing my everyday experiences, social critiques and the pluralism of cultures that surrounds me.
