I conceive my practice as if it were a meditative investigation. Out of different hypotheses, I simultaneously explore stillness and movement, materiality and meaning. Conceptually, I address themes such as nothingness, emptiness, silence and space. I honor neutrality and stand as a witness, observing and taking notes of the alchemy of the process. By doing this, the playful becomes methodical. One of the pillars of my processes is action paint, although I am also interested in the natural movements of the materials themselves. I look for the forms to be subtle, light and organic. I give a great preponderance to the color white. In my processes, I experiment with acrylics, oils, latex, solvents, varnishes, encaustic, acids and calcium bicarbonate, among others. I aim to create a method that combines analytical and intuitive thinking.
