Florent Espana

Florent Espana, born in 1983, lives and works in Breil-sur-Roya (Alpes-Maritimes).

The artist's work is made up of distinct pictorial research: the figurative period which could be characterized as learning, the "Favelas" revolution which will mark a turning point in his creation and the abstract expressionist period on which his research current direction has been oriented. This triangulation of genres makes his works unique today. The nature of his subjects has evolved over time: from his concrete youth (Lyon) via Villefranche-sur-Mer where he set up his first personal gallery to the mountains of the Roya valley (Alpes-Maritimes). These environmental changes will influence his creation as well as his technique.
