Fosca is a contemporary Italian-Dutch artist, painter, draughtswoman, engraver, and creator of large-scale installations. She studied visual arts in Paris and Venice, exhibited at the Venice Biennale, and has shown her works in prestigious international venues. Her practice combines meticulous drawing, symbolic painting, and immersive installations, often created on commission for collectors and institutions.

"Born from a Venetian mother and a Dutch father, Fosca is looking for answers to existential questions through the creation of a fantastic universe filled with curious anthropomorphic animals. These creatures seem to find their roots in the apocalyptic menace of certain Flemish paintings, tempered by the lightheartedness and refinement of an XVIII century Venetian carnival.

Her drawings, executed with the meticulous and patient precision of miniaturist, or even a goldsmith are the alphabet to a secret language. If a universe created by an artist makes her prisoner of it signs, Fosca will surely find it difficult to forsake her zoological creations.

Born to a Venetian mother and a Dutch father, Fosca studied visual arts in Paris at the Met de Penninghen Academy for five years, while also attending anatomy courses at the École des Beaux-Arts. She then moved to Venice where she trained at the Bottega del Tintoretto, learning traditional engraving techniques. She currently lives between Paris, Milan, and Rio de Janeiro.
