Frederic Saint Pol

For a long time, when I'm doing art, I am not aware of my role in art, or I think that I do art as an artist, but I do art as a person.
My art must be free, and for that reason I try not to be induced by other forms of creation or expression, although sometimes, unwittingly and innocently, you approach other dialogues. Art is simply one of the aspects of creation, which is multiform, and its exercise means freedom. Personally, I believe that it is my only space of freedom that is possible: the only limit is my ability or inability, and the sole responsible for all this is me, that too I approach free or liberated thinking.
And that is why my art must be a freely established personal commitment and that, freely I have also decided to exercise. Actually I think art, as a practice of freedom, first individual and then, without a doubt, social.
My work can express all the periods in my story, because it is a very personal and free thing. My work is anchored in the personal and individual nature of my person, I exist, and I think, as long as my time lasts. And everything turns around in my world, which is the only one there is as I know it today.
Art is a way of knowing, an attempt to understand the world, and my world is to reflect...

autodidact

1975. Va publicar el seu primer poema a la revista literària Sabadell, la cua del diable
1976. Segon premi de l'Institut d'Art de Vidal i Barraquer, la llibertat de treball d'Expressió.
1978. Participa en l'exposició col·lectiva a les Belles Arts de Sabadell.
1979. Viatja a Israel, i escriu el viatja.
1980. Participa en l'exposició col·lectiva a Santa Perpètua.
1981. Comença a conèixer l'obra d'Antoni Tàpies, que en els anys serà la seva gran influència artística.
1981. Mor el seu germà Vicenç, que va ser qui el va introduir en la pintura.
1987. Neix la seva filla Sílvia.
1990. Comença a treballar en diferents formes d'expressió i comença l'apropament a l'informalisme abstracta.
1992. Mor el seu germà Joan.
2001. Exposició retrospectiva a l'espai cultural de la granja a Sta. Perpètua.
2002. Mor el seu pare
2002. Comença a aprofundir en el tema, com a mitjà d'expressió.
2005. Comença a pintar amb diferents materials i es centra en l'art simbòlic i conceptual.
2008. Mor el seu nebot Vicenç.
2010. Comença el projecte Âme errante.
2010. Participa en la Fundació Tàpies Arts Combinades. Integrat en el projecte en 2011 20.0
2012. Exposició i presentació de 20.0 a la Casa Elizalde.
