Gabriella De Gaetano

I am a Visual Artist who was born in Malta, 1985. In 2009, I completed a 3 year Bachelor program at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, Italy in Painting and the Visual Arts. The following year I opened my own business GDG, where I sold handmade designs for home and interiors. I recently worked for the Tasting Sessions based in London, as an Installation Artist for the event 'A Fluid State'. I have exhibited my work in Italy, Malta and the UK.

As a Visual Artist, I work towards integrating my Fine Art practice with my new knowledge in Textile Design, to create new and innovative designs. In my work, I am particularly sensitive about the materials I use, for sustainability reasons but also for their tactile and visual aspects. Without a doubt the mixture of colours juxtaposed in my work is also one of my trademarks. My work is traditional, refined, and at the same time contemporary and alive.
