Galarina Moiseeva

I was born in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg), Russia.
Then, 22 years after that, I was born the second time - as a photographer.
My first passion has been concert photography. For a while, it was my life, my everything. It was my dream too and I still love it very much.
I worked with various musicians: local ones and world-famous, doing photo shootings everywhere from stadiums to small clubs. My works are used for concert posters, they appeared in local musical magazines and on musicians’ social networks.
At the same time, I have been taking photos of people, trying to capture their emotions and feelings. I believe that you can see it in my works: they are black and white so they allow depicting emotions, feelings, and thoughts, joys, and sorrows in their purity.
My third passion is contemporary art, especially when it comes to abstract, surrealistic, and minimalistic forms and textures. As an artist, I am exploring the world around, so I can find some ragged spots, shadows, and likeness between colours and objects. I use my camera in an attempt to represent them as attractive and self-sufficient entities, so I often look for a way to combine surfaces, textures, and patterns in my work.
