Gennaro Marano (Naples, 1974) is a fine art photographer based in Martinsicuro, Italy.
Deeply influenced by classical painting, his work explores universal themes such as childhood, fragility, and memory.
Through light and composition, he transforms portraits into timeless narratives that reveal both vulnerability and strength.
Some of his works have been exhibited and sold internationally, including in the United States.
My work stems from the desire to preserve what cannot be held: an emotion, a glance, a fragment of truth.
Light becomes my language, sculpting faces like in a painting and giving voice to both silence and dignity.
Each portrait is an encounter: between myself, the person in front of the lens, and the viewer.
In this fragile yet powerful dialogue, I seek what remains — what truly matters.
Where light becomes memory.
