Gilah Yelin Hirsch, (BA UC Berkeley, MFA UCLA), is a painter, writer, theorist, photographer, videographer, filmmaker, lecturer and Professor of Art at California State University, Dominguez Hills (Los Angeles). She works in a disciplinary manner including art, design, anthropology, architecture, theology, philosophy, psychology, psychoneuroimmunology and world culture.
In internationally exhibiting artist since 1968, Hirsch's paintings have been acquired by major public and private collections, including the Skirball Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Alexander Braun Collection, Budapest; the Bank of America National Banks, USA; University of California Medical Arts Collection, Los Angeles, CA, and have appeared on covers and within dozens of journals, magazines and books, along with articles and book chapters about her life and work.
