Gilda Wilpstra-Gouhari

Gilda Wilpstra Gouhari was born in 1975 in Tehran, Iran. She studied at the Art Academy (Graphic Design) in Tehran and then photography at the Art University of Tehran. After moving to The Netherlands she started to create art with sculpting and textile.

Themes such as birth, life and development play a role in Gilda's work, for example by using symbols such as seeds and eggs. Her stone sculptures are often combined with other materials into mixed media. She is always looking for new ways in this.
