Gillian Cook

Colour is everything to me. My work is a record of my ongoing exploration of the language of colour - its harmonies, clashes, moods and the emotions it evokes. I rarely plan my paintings in any detail, they evolve intuitively, and can change completely from day to day, depending on what's going on around me and in my head.

I studied Fine Art at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa for two years and beyond that I am self-taught.
