Gina Fishman

People often comment that my work is versatile and varied. This is because I worked as a fashion designer for many years in New York, specialising as a surface designer. I created 5 collections a year on varied themes, developing colour palettes based on fashion and interior trends. This experience is what has shaped me as an artist. Colour and surface play is everything to me, which is reflected in my work.
My love for the sea began as a child spending family summer holidays on the beach from early morning till the cool sands of the evening. They are cherished memories of long hot days, lots of zinc, swimming and enjoying life with family and friends. We are so lucky in Australia to be surrounded by the most beautiful beaches and oceans in the world.
