Oluwafunke Saka is a conceptual multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, mixed media, and installation. Her practice explores the intersections of identity, mental health, spirituality, and transformation often merging abstraction and figuration into a symbolic language that speaks to both personal and collective experience.
Born in Nigeria and now living in Darlington, UK, Oluwafunke holds a bachelors degree in Pharmacy and a masters in Fine Art with Advanced practice. Her dual background reflects a lifelong commitment to healing: as medicine restores the body, she sees art as medicine for the heart and soul. For her, creating is both a personal act of therapy and a gift to the viewer, a way to open space for introspection, emotional connection, and transformation.
Her work moves fluidly between narrative and symbolism, offering spaces that are at once intimate and universal. Through layered textures, faceless or abstracted figures, and symbolic interventions, She invites viewers to look beyond the surface, embrace self-awareness, and uncover the quiet truths that connect us all.
