I was born in Buenos Aires in 1969. Since a very early age, I related to art. My mother was an actress, my father a photographer and my grandfather a well known goldsmith, which brings up my first memories from drawing. Once out from high school, considered becoming -although not too convinced- a graphic designer. It was also in those days, when I began taking painting classes with Miguel Dávila, a painter with whom I would set a long apprentice relation. As a student first, later on as his assistant and friend. In August 1998, my daughter Valentina was born and, paradoxically, though I had abandoned my graphic design pretences, became teaching staff at the faculty I had left.
In 2001, I was awarded a British Council fellowship that led to a degree MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, UK. It also, led to meeting the band apart of colleagues that are my transatlantic friends.
My painting delves between two traditions that I feel are quite different. The one from Rio de la Plata, which in my opinion seeks the idea of the transcendent and that perceived during my stay in the UK, which is (again in my view) more distant and objective.
I am currently living, painting and teaching in Buenos Aires, Argentina
