The little things in life are often overlooked, especially today when capturing a moment on camera is easier than ever and we are saturated with hyper active images.

I wanted to give time to look at small objects through the lens of macro photography and hopefully show the interest, beauty and coolness in what we so often don't see.

After working for over a decade in operations management I moved into music video and short film production. Photography had always been something I had an interest in, however it was something more for myself.

When I discovered macro photography it revealed a new world of possibilities and challenges. I had known macro in reference to insects and flowers and hadn't considered how interesting other small things can also look.

I like to construct the composition in what is in essentially a small stage. Due to the level of control I have compared to shooting outside or with a living model, I try to make the first photo stack the one to use... obviously this is not always the case but I believe that unless photography is capturing a live moment it needs to be treated as an artists medium, therefore for me to rely on editing software for this type of work would reduce the skills required - and...
