Combining themes of identity, language, superstition & personal experience, Greg’s work is an amalgamation of intuitive mark making, figurative abstraction & idiosyncratic narratives.
Led by subtle social dichotomies, bold colour work & distinctively lyrical titles, his appropriation from contemporary sources such as social media, music, literature & film, help form new visual dialogues, reimagining his day-to-day observations.
"Greg Farndon lures you in with blunt honesty, witty instinct and brutal charm. His work has a pulse. It's alive in some simple, pure way. You can tell by looking at Greg's art that he is not trying to play a role or fill a niche, he is just being himself." - Frederick Gavern, StyleNoChaser Magazine, 2015
Studied Fine Art / Sculpture at the University Of Gloucestershire, experimenting with found objects, sound & video. He went on to work at Europe's leading sculpture foundry, Pangolin Editions as a painter & patinator, assisting upon numerous works for artists such as Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas, Angus Fairhurst, Lynn Chadwick, Don Brown & David Nash.
