I like to work in different materials, and it is interesting to take parts or expressions in one media over to another. For example paint on ceramics, take an extract from a painting into woodcutprinting and simplify it. I have done many larger glasworks in public projects, and I am also making smaller glas pictures. When the new National Museum in Oslo opened I was invited to display 6 glasworks there - in sandblasting technique. When working in series which I most often do, each picture is part of a larger theme. Colours are important in my work, they are creating the composition and space. I mainly work abstract, but I am also using figurative elements in some series in an abstract setting. My arteducation is from Norway and I also spent 2 years in Kyoto in Japan, on a statescholarship, continuing my artstudies in a japanese art institution. This came to mean alot for my work. I am exhibiting quit frequently, and enjoy showing my works of art in different public spaces.
