Gustave Nouel

1954 CaribbeanDutch Artist from 'the little paradise island' Aruba.In 2006 Nouel got recognition in Aruba as "ARTIST OF THE YEAR" and in 2007 Nouel was honoured with a permanent place in the Aruban HALL OF FAME at Paseo Herencia. In 2007 Nouel was also one of the three artists selected and invited by The Dutch Ministry of internal affairs, to show their art in the governments gallery "DE LEEUW" in The Hague related with the Kingdom Games. A recognition for the artistic bridge function Nouel's Art is considered to have between the new country Aruba and the rest of the world.Gustave Nouel is an artist working and living in Holland and Aruba. The artist was born and grew up in the tropics, clear traces from the Carribean can be found in most of his art work.Monumental designer and specialist in the Art of painting. He is also a sculptor.
October 3, 2010 the painter Nouel was chosen in a very convincing way, by the public, as winner of a new National portrait painting contest 'In the Picture' 2010-2011 at Atelierplein, Place du Tertre, Almere in Holland.

1977-1983: Academie Minerva (Groningen), Rietveld (Amsterdam) and AKI (Enschede), Holland.
Diploma: monumental designer and specialist in painting.
1984-1986: Universidad Complutense de Madrid. (Post university doctor courses in painting), Spain.
