Gyuri Lohmuller

Born in Gataia, Romania, in 1962. Self-educated painter, having exhibitions in Austria, Germany, France and Hungary, is willing to share his inner world. His paintings reflect his deepest emotions. "The emotion", he says, "is Art."He prefers the surrealist themes.

Also, some years ago I had an interview at the national television.All this helped me resist through the long years from the moment I quit my job, but believing in art, to nowadays. I reach to survive from my paintings, but very hard. Also, I lost much not being able to take good pictures of my paintings, because I didn’t afford to buy a good photo-camera.

But for me, art is something vital, I feed wit it, it’s something inseparably to my body.

*In January 1993 I exhibited in Burgundy, France (Forge de Buffon et Forge de Cheney);
* In 1997 I exhibited in Gătaia at the “National House” and also in the Forge at the Abbey of Fontenay, France;
*In 1997-1998 my works were shown at the private Gallery Jacky Pitaud in Montbart, France;
* in 1998 in a private gallery in Budapest;
* in 2005 I participated in a group exhibition in Austria (Öberwart);
*3-4 July 2010 I took part in the International Art Festival at Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, France;
*Between 2017 and 2019 I participated in the “International Surrealism Now” movement: a traveling exhibition (Coimbra, Portugal; Marinha Grande, Portugal; New York, United States) My work was exhibited for an indefinite duration at the Municipal Gallery of Vieira de Leiria in the Municipality of Marinha Grande.
